February 2022 Newsletter

C.U.R.E. is here.

From the day of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond:
The support doesn’t stop when the treatment stops.

And we are so thankful for our friends who make our support possible.

Welcome, Carrighan!

Hi my name is Carrighan Dalle, I am a senior at SUNY Brockport and studying Public Health Education. An extracurricular activity I enjoy is cheerleading, I have cheered my whole life and now still doing it on the club cheerleading team at the college. One thing I love to do and is my passion is help people and to always be there for someone in need no matter the situation. I am so grateful to be doing an Internship with C.U.R.E. to help make a difference within the lives of our local families and be able to support them. One project I will be working on is our Annual Million Penny Drive with local schools to raise money and awareness for our Association, and what a simple and fun way to do so!

Spotlight on: Collin

Collin loves playing Minecraft and Fortnite and building with oversized Legos.

He loves to hang out and do fun things with all of his family and cousins.

He is in remission and on maintenance therapy for his A.L.L. treatment. Collin was diagnosed on June 1, 2020.

Please reach out to Laurie Streb if you are interested in a private fishing charter.

Conquer Cancer in Kids:
make childhood cancer research a priority:

We invite our families and supporters to join CNN’s Rene Marsh as she advocates to make childhood cancer research a priority! Sadly, Rene lost her two year old son, Blake, to brain cancer in April 2021. She is now working with CNN and childhood cancer awareness advocates to make a difference!

GRYT Health connects patients and caregivers to others with shared experience and to information relevant to their journey.

Through the GRYT app, we’ve created a platform for people affected by cancer to connect to others with similar experiences, and to tailored information that helps our users become more aware of options specific to their needs or diagnosis – empowering them to make choices that are right for them.

Our community of patients, survivors, medical professionals, researchers and advocates across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 100 countries worldwide have participated in almost 1,000,000 interactions to date, inspiring people to live according to their own standards.

Trust from our community is paramount to our success and something we take very seriously. We never share any of our users’ information without their explicit permission. Unlike other apps, GRYT is the first social community that is funded, built, and run by patients and caregivers where users communicate anonymously in real-time and each person is 100% in charge of what happens with their data.

Thank you, RDI Diamonds!

We are grateful for our Friends at RDI Diamonds who continue to keep our C.U.R.E. Families in their hearts. We were BLOWN AWAY by another incredible donation from the group. The Team presented a check for the months of October through December as well as a collection of toys for our kiddos to us in January. We love seeing our Friends from RDI Diamonds!

Congratulations to the Sales Team members who are achieving their goals and generating donations for our organization!

Thank you, Fairport Soccer Team & Abby!

A HUGE “Thank You” goes out to our friends on the Fairport Soccer Team as well as Abby! The team hosted a childhood cancer awareness game this past fall. Additionally, Abby sold candy at every game and represented our organization. Their efforts generated over $1,400 for C.U.R.E.! Well done, Team!
